2026 Fall Semester Exchange Student Program
Announcement on Adjustment of English Proficiency Requirements
To align with the standards of our partner universities and enhance students’ learning outcomes during exchange programs, OIA originally planned to raise the English proficiency requirement for our exchange student applications to CEFR B2, effective from the first semester of this Academic Year (2025 Fall Semester).
However, considering the time students need to prepare for English proficiency tests, the new standard will be implemented starting next academic year to allow students sufficient preparation time.
📌Applicable standards are as follows:
■ For students applying for exchange programs this academic year (for studying abroad in 2026 Fall Semester and 2027 Spring Semester) :
English proficiency scores must meet the University’s original set requirements.
| Tests | Scores |
| TOFEL iBT | At least 69 |
| IELTS | At least 5.5 |
| TOEIC | At least 670 |
Note: Applicants must still meet the language requirements set by the partner universities.
■Starting from next Academic Year (for students applying to study abroad in 2027 Fall Semester and 2028 Spring Semester and beyond) :
the University will fully adopt the CEFR B2 standard as the English proficiency requirement for exchange students.
| Tests | Scores |
| TOFEL iBT | At least 72 |
| TOFEL ITP 托福(紙筆測驗) | At least 527 |
| IELTS | At least 5.5 |
| TOEIC | At least 785 |
