I. In order to expand learning domains and explore international perspective of our students, these regulations are formulated to encourage them to pursue further education at the partner universities in foreign countries and Mainland China.
本校為增廣學生學習領域暨國際視野，鼓勵學生前往國外及大陸地區姊妹校進修，特訂定本要點。

II. These regulations are applicable to the exchange students who require NCHU OIA’s nomination for studying abroad.
凡需以學校名義推薦至姊妹校進修之交換學生均適用本要點。

III. Our students who apply for studying at the partner universities should submit application to OIA with the following documents. After the application is approved by the International Academic Exchange Review Committee, a recommendation will be made in name of Vice President for International Affairs.
本校學生申請至姊妹校進修，應檢附下列文件向國際事務處提出申請，經國際學術交流審查委員會審查合格後，以國際長名義寄發推薦函。檢附文件如下：

(I) An application Form 申請表
(II) Two recommendation letters from teachers 兩封教師之推薦函
(III) One copy of school academic transcripts of all semesters in Chinese 在校中文歷年成績單乙份
(IV) Valid “Test Result” of foreign language proficiency test (unnecessary for the applicants to study in Mainland China)
有效期限內外語能力檢定測驗成績單。申請至大陸地區交換者免附
(V) One each of Autobiography and Study Plan(Statement of Purpose), written in English for the applicants to study in foreign countries, or in Chinese for those to study in Mainland China.自傳及讀書計畫各乙份。申請至國外交換者以英文撰寫，至大陸地區交換者得以中文撰寫
(VI) One copy of Parental Consent 家長同意書乙份
(VII) Any documents helpful for review其他有助於審查之資料

IV. Review Criteria for nominating exchange students to the partner universities本校推薦至姊妹校為交換學生之審查標準如下：
(I) Partner universities in foreign countries國外姊妹校:
1. Academic Performance 30% 在校成績：百分之三十
2. Foreign Language Proficiency 35% 外語能力：百分之三十五
3. Autobiography and Study Plan (Statement of Purpose) 30% 自傳及讀書計畫：百分之三十
4. Letter of Recommendation 5%推薦函: 百分之五
(II) Partner universities in Mainland China:大陸地區姊妹校
1. Academic Performance 50% 在校成績：百分之五十
2. Autobiography 20% 自傳：百分之二十
3. Study Plan (Statement of Purpose)25% 讀書計畫：百分之二十五
4. Letter of Recommendation 5% 推薦函: 百分之五
The International Academic Exchange Review Committee will review and discuss above criteria, and decide nomination list.
前項審查評分送國際學術交流審查委員會討論決議推薦人選

V. The International Academic Exchange Review Committee is composed of Vice President for International Affairs, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Research and Development, and one representative recommended by each college. If the committee member cannot attend the meeting, he/she can delegate a person to attend the meeting on his/her behalf. The review meeting will be convened by the Vice President for International Affairs, and can only be held when at least half of the committee
members attend the meeting. The Director of Division of Academic Exchange of OIA and the Director of Division of Foreign Student Affairs will also attend the meeting as observers.
國際學術交流審查小組之成員除國際長外，其餘則由教務長、研發長及各學院所推薦之委員各一名所組成。委員不克出席時，可派員代理出席。審查會議由國際長召集，需經二分之一以上委員出席始得召開，國際事務處學術交流組及大陸事務組組長列席

VI. The exchange term for an exchange student at the partner university is limited to one semester. It is allowed to apply for the exchange twice in the same school system.
交換學生於交換學校交換期限以一學期為原則，同一學制內得申請交換二次

VII. During the exchange period, the NCHU students are required to be registered in NCHU.
本校學生交換期間仍需持有本校學籍

VIII. After an exchange student completes the registration at the partner university, he/she will be treated as the student of the partner university, and must obey the rules of the partner university. The student cannot damage the reputation of either home or partner university. After finishing the exchange, the student must submit a learning report, and apply for credit exemption according to NCHU credits exemption regulations within one month after returning to NCHU.
交換學生於交換學校完成註冊手續後，即視同為該校學生，應遵守該校一切規定，並不得做出有損兩校校譽情事，結束國外交換計畫，應於返校後一個月內繳交在交換學校研讀心得報告乙份，並依本校學生學分抵免辦法辦理學分抵免

IX. These regulations have passed the review in the International Affairs meeting and are implemented after the president’s approval.
本要點經國際事務會議通過，陳請校長核定後實施，修正時亦同
